About

Alex Katz

Alex Katz is a women’s hair specialist on Long Island, New York. He cuts layers that frame the face, with the fringe worn side-swept or curtain-style.

His range runs from a sharp, angled bob to very long layers, a soft, feathered lob and wedding-day hair. The finish is sleek and glossy, with movement: ends turned out or softly bent, the fringe placed to show the cheekbone line, the perimeter soft on layered cuts and crisp on a bob.

Mid-cut: the top section clipped up, the lengths cut with a comb and shears.

Weddings

Tell Alex about the day.

The date, where it is, how many people need their hair done, and a photo of the look you love. Your note goes straight to Alex.

Instant replies

Every DM and booking comment gets an answer in seconds, even mid-cut.

  1. A message comes in while your hands are busy: a DM, or a comment on one of your posts.
  2. Your booking assistant has a reply ready in seconds. It names the look she asked about, asks how long her hair is now and which days work, and sends your booking link.
  3. It never promises a time in a DM. You confirm times yourself, and anything unusual waits for you.

She gets an answer while she’s still holding her phone, instead of hours later.

Long dark brown layers with a heavy side-swept fringe.

Monday, October 26 · Layers and fringe

The layers start right at the cheek, giving the ends a soft outward turn. I kept the fringe heavy and side-swept so it falls over one eye, framing the face with dark chocolate brown hair. Book a time with me here: https://example.com/book-alex
